Senior Centers

Monthly Menus | Events Calendars:

Senior centers are gathering places for active older adults who share a wide variety of interests. Some interests may include:

  • instructional and personal enrichment classes,
  • advocating for programs to benefit special interests,
  • cultural enrichment
  • special events entertainment.

NUTRITION

Congregate noontime meals are served at our seven senior centers Monday through Friday. A special diet is available with doctor’s approval. A registered dietitian, who approves all meals, provides diet counseling and nutrition education. The dietitian also provides bimonthly nutritional tips via a newsletter.

PRIMETIME HEALTH

The goal of this program is to promote optimum health for older adults in order for them to maintain independent lifestyles. This program provides information, speakers, and programs dealing with health issues and concerns of older adults. Several lifestyle health fairs are held throughout the year. For example: “Nifty After Fifty” and “Apple Harvest.”
